Some more complaining, hey, sometimes it's funny...
First of all, I have made some asthetic changes to my blog. Nothing too fancy, just some minor, "I'm going to use cursive to be snotty" type garbage.
I had school today, as I do everyday, and while walking though the halls, I noticed that they changed the student photos in the hallway. I had some time on my hands so I decided to take a look at them. Now, I'm no professional photographer by anymeans, but...I do know that there is this thing called "focal length". For anyone that doesn't know what that is, it is simply where the object is in focus. You know, when you move the lens and things go in and out of focus. To me, that's what I am good at. I have a good eye for depth and focus. Aparently, none of the students at UB, with the exception of like five, do. Every picture looked like it was taken with some infinite-focus cardboard camera. The colors were great and the photos didn't have bad composition, but the focal length is what makes a "picture" into a "photograph". When everything is in focus, it makes the picture look cheap, like a novice took it.
That's all. I guess that it bothered me that much that I needed to make a post on it.
PS: Get the new Owen records:
1. The EP
2. I Do Perceive
They are really good.
